Cross Keys Village | Who We Are

Cross Keys Village: Who We Are

Multiple opportunities in a growing field

Cross Keys Village is one of the largest employers in Adams County. We employ close to 500 team members on our 334-acre campus. With 110 years of growth behind us, you could say we don’t do things halfway. Because of our size and our strong reputation, we can offer our team the advantages that come with a solid, long-running and innovative organization.

Nursing is our largest department. In addition, we regularly need electricians, chaplains, chefs, drivers, secretaries, therapists, beauticians, landscapers, accountants, servers… and so much more. You see, Cross Keys Village is like a small town offering you a genuine career opportunity and security in a growing field. Our team members come from all walks of life. Some start with seasonal work or are fresh out of college. Others look to get back into the workforce after raising young children. Many are simply looking for a change, and they have heard many good things about working in a faith-based nonprofit organization like Cross Keys Village.

THE CKV PROMISE

A unique work culture

“Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, ethnicity, age, physical or mental disability, genetic information, military service or veteran status or any other status protected by applicable local, state or federal laws. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, and transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.”

In parallel to this basic legal requirement, we all strive to work – to serve others – in a way that is aligned with our roots in the Church of the Brethren, a historic Peace Church. For us, how we work with others cannot be separated from how well we work.

CKV leaders are instructed and trained to recognize and foster the potential in each team member. There is no room in our organization for any sort of discrimination or for aggressive management styles. Those who have transitioned from the “corporate world” to a job at Cross Keys Village will tell you that competitiveness isn’t encouraged in an environment where sharing credit and reaching blameless solutions are the norm.

If your career has led you to believe that all workplaces are the same, we would like an opportunity to gently prove you wrong and welcome you to our unique work culture.

Regular community celebrations and acknowledgements ensure that we feel appreciated and heard. You know what they say… You can’t choose your family. But by joining Cross Keys Village, you choose a closely-knit work family. We genuinely look out for each other, and we look forward to having you aboard.
